Causal agent
In addition to contributing to the field of biodeterioration and to student learning, technology-related contributions can be cited as 'admin-reviewed case study' submissions, and may count as service and/or extension. You will also be helping others solve a problem that costs money and wastes natural resources. There are very few case studies of wood biodeterioration available that include thorough descriptions and images. For young professionals and students, this makes it hard to learn from real-world experience, and as materials and their use evolve quickly, the problem is exacerbated. We need a compendium of case studies for learning and practice that is controlled by the community and that can evolve with our problem in real time.
